I wanted web hosting to feel simple. When you make a website, putting it online shouldn't require battling complicated control panels or talking to AI chatbots when something breaks. Surya Host provides reliable server space with direct, personal help from me when you need it.

Whenever I build software or maintain servers, I take things apart in my head. Here are four questions I wanted answers to.
When you type an address into your browser, your computer doesn't know where that site actually lives. It first asks a global directory called DNS to look up the server's numerical address. Your request then travels through fiber-optic cables across cities to a real computer sitting in a datacenter. That machine processes what you asked for, packages the HTML, images, and fonts, and sends them back to your computer. Your browser then unpackages everything and paints it onto your screen like a digital puzzle.
Humans remember names like suryahost.in, but machines only understand numbers like 104.21.48.12. DNS connects the two.
A server is just a reliable computer that never sleeps, waiting for people around the world to ask for files.

I'm Surya Prakash, a full-stack developer from Dehradun, India. I build websites and web applications, and I look after the servers that run them.
In 2022 I started Surya Host — a cPanel-native hosting company — because I wanted to understand what actually keeps a website online. The on-call rota taught me more about Linux, DNS, and Nginx than any tutorial did.
In 2026 I founded Devnexis, a software studio for custom apps and product experiments.
I'm currently studying for a BCA at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (2025–2028), and interning at TBI GEU building AI-assisted web products.
